About Watermarkend

Watermarkend exists because every "best watermark remover" list we could find ranked tools nobody had opened. We compare and rate every tool the same way, from vendor documentation, prices read off the checkout page on a dated visit and the pattern of user reports, and every score carries the date it was last checked.

The site covers both directions: removing a watermark from work you own, and adding one to protect work you publish.

Some links earn us a commission. Scores are not affected.

What Watermarkend covers

Two things, and nothing else. Removing watermarks from video, photos and PDFs, which is most of what we publish. And adding watermarks to protect your own images, which is a smaller but permanent part of the site.

  • Tool reviews with a full score breakdown on five weighted criteria
  • Rankings re-weighted for the job: browser tools, video, free tiers, batch work
  • App-specific guides that start with the official fix before any removal tool
  • Deals we have checked on the vendor checkout page

Who rates the watermark tools

The Watermarkend editorial team compares the tools, sets the ratings and writes the reviews. Every tool in a ranking has been rated on the same five criteria from the same kinds of sources: what the vendor documents it doing, what its pricing page says on a dated visit, and what users report on store pages and review platforms.

No ghostwritten filler, no rewritten press releases, and no invented benchmarks. If a page quotes a price, it was read off the vendor checkout page on the date shown; if it describes a failure, users have reported it.

How the scores are produced

Five criteria, weighted, applied the same way to every tool. The full method is on how we rate watermark removers, including the weights, the sources and when a tool gets re-rated.

Scores are comparable across the site because nothing changes between ratings except the tool.

Our stance on removing watermarks

This site is written for people removing a watermark from their own content, or from a free-tier export of a tool they use, and for creators protecting their work.

That is why every app guide opens with the official route: if the app that added the mark sells a plan that exports without it, that is the cleanest fix and it comes first. We do not cover removing watermarks from stock photography or from anyone else’s copyrighted work, and no tool on this site changes who owns a file.

How Watermarkend makes money

Affiliate commission on some purchases, and nothing else. No vendor pays for placement, a review, or a position in a ranking. Tools with no affiliate programme appear in our rankings and sometimes beat tools that pay well.

The affiliate disclosure explains which links earn a commission and how they are marked.

Corrections and contact

Wrong price, changed free tier, a tool that behaves differently from its review: send it and we re-check the vendor page and re-rate. Corrections that move a score get a fresh check date on the page.
