How to remove the Veo watermark (2026)
Veo stamps two marks on generations: a visible corner logo on free-tier exports, and an invisible SynthID signature woven into the pixels of every export, paid or not. The corner logo is the easy half: it sits still, the simplest case for HitPaw Watermark Remover’s select-a-mode-and-render workflow. Paid Google AI tiers export without the visible mark in the first place.
SynthID is the half no tool touches: it survives editing and re-encoding by design, and it does not show on screen, so there is nothing to gain by fighting it. This guide covers the visible mark on videos you generated on your own account.

Three ways to remove the Veo watermark
Ordered by how clean the result is. The official route always comes first when the platform offers one.
Paid tiers generate without the visible corner mark, at source quality, and cover every future export. If you use Veo regularly, this is the whole answer.
Check Google AI plans (opens in a new tab)The corner logo is static, which is the easy case for a tracker-based remover. Five removal modes cover both a stable background and one with motion behind the logo.
Try HitPaw (opens in a new tab)One free edit per device on the web app, video included, then from $9.99 a month. Enough to clear a single short generation without installing anything.
Try AniEraser (opens in a new tab)Remove the Veo watermark with HitPaw, step by step
A fixed corner mark is the simplest job a video remover documents: one selection, one render. Scores are in the HitPaw review, and the perpetual licence is $39.99 instead of $69.99 on HitPaw’s checkout.
-
Load the Veo export
Drag the generated clip into HitPaw’s Video Watermark Remover on Windows or macOS. Use the file as Veo delivered it; re-encoded copies soften the area the tool needs to rebuild.
-
Box the corner logo once
Draw a selection a few pixels larger than the mark. Veo keeps it in one corner for the full clip, so a single box covers the whole timeline; no tracking setup needed.
-
Pick the mode for what is behind the mark
Smooth Fill is enough when the corner sits over sky or a stable area. Switch to AI mode when the generation has movement or detail behind the logo, which is common with Veo’s camera-motion prompts.
-
Export and inspect the corner
Export at source resolution and check the corner at full zoom across a few frames. If the corner shimmers, re-render the clip in AI mode before trying anything else; a stable corner over a static background is the case Smooth Fill is documented for.

Why Veo watermarks its videos twice
The visible corner mark does the commercial work: it labels free output and nudges regular users toward a paid Google AI tier, the same pattern as the Sora watermark. Paid generations drop it because the label has done its job.
SynthID does the provenance work. It is embedded across the pixels at generation time, invisible, and built to survive crops, filters and re-encoding, so platforms and detectors can identify the clip as AI-generated regardless of what happens to the corner logo. Removing the visible mark does not, and cannot, remove that layer.
Is it legal to remove the Veo watermark?
Cleaning the corner logo off your own generations is editing your own output, and upgrading the plan is the route Google itself sells. Both are ordinary use of a tool you pay for.
What neither route does is make the clip untraceable: SynthID stays, and platforms that read it will still label the video AI-generated. Using cleaned AI video where disclosure is required, in news, political content or advertising, is a rules problem no watermark tool solves, and passing off someone else’s generations as your own is not covered here at all.

Veo watermark FAQ
Can you remove the Veo watermark?
The visible corner logo, yes: it is static, the simplest job HitPaw’s selection-and-mode workflow covers. Paid Google AI tiers skip it entirely on export. The invisible SynthID layer is a separate mark that no removal tool touches, by design.
Does a paid Google AI plan remove the Veo watermark?
Paid tiers generate video without the visible corner mark, which is cleaner than removing it afterwards because nothing is reconstructed. SynthID remains on every export regardless of plan; it is provenance labelling, not a free-tier restriction.
How do I remove the Veo watermark for free?
AniEraser gives one free edit per device on its web app, video included, and a static corner mark is the case its brush selection is documented for. After that first edit it is paid, from $9.99 a month; for regular use, generating on a paid Google AI tier costs less than any remover.
What is SynthID and can it be removed?
SynthID is Google’s invisible watermark, embedded in the pixels of AI-generated media at creation time. It survives editing, cropping and re-encoding by design, and removal tools do not target it. It is also invisible, so it changes nothing about how your video looks.
Is the Veo watermark easier to remove than Sora’s?
Considerably. Veo’s visible mark sits still in a corner, the textbook case for any competent remover, while Sora’s bounces across the frame and demands motion tracking. Our full comparison of tools that handle both is in the AI watermark remover ranking.
Is it legal to remove the watermark from a Veo video?
On your own generations, yes, it is your output to edit. It does not exempt you from disclosure rules where AI content must be labelled, and SynthID means platforms can identify the clip anyway. Other people’s generations are theirs; this guide does not cover them.
Fastest way to clear the Veo watermark
HitPaw Watermark Remover rates 9.1/10 and has the most complete toolset for marks that move with the footage. Check your Veo plan first: a higher tier exports without the mark and costs nothing extra.
